He didn’t have a sign and did not speak but I could tell he just wanted food. Poor fellow, since I didn’t have anything suitable for him to eat. He seemed to respond to my voice, edging closer, until I would get within about 3 feet, when he would start to move away from me. Getting down on my knees seems to alleviate his concern.
When I came back later with some bread to feed him, he was gone. So I walked over to the wall that borders the storm drainage creek looking for him. There was the whole family, swimming in the creek, looking as happy as can be in their encampment. I hope they are able to get something to eat, maybe catch a fish or something like that. Please help this poor fellow and his family find a home. He works for peanuts I’m sure.
